Flughafen Wien AG Annual Reports 2004 and 2005
Vienna International Airport has a problem: It’s too successful. In 2004 passenger numbers increased twice as much as the European average. This can only be remedied with an ambitious and complex extension plan.
The 2004 annual report makes necessity a virtue: Colorful collages illustrate how the construction measures in response to this growth—which also disrupt operations at times—will lead step-by-step to one of the most modern airports in Europe.
And the boom continues. As the 2005 annual report shows, Vienna International Airport is still on the rise—despite being one of the country’s largest building sites. This is made possible by a three-fold management strategy, which the report accompanies as an illustrated travel route through the most important stages of successful future planning.
