ORF Public Value Report 2016
The competition with US media giants like Google, YouTube, or Netflix is also posing new challenges for public service broadcasters. What do the broadcasting fees enable and why is a differentiated and objective view of the world more important than ever?
The Public Value Report 2016 illustrates how the ORF is facing these challenges, which quality standards are implemented, and which impulses and inspirations the broadcasting corporation adopts for necessary changes. On the basis of five quality dimensions and 18 performance categories, the ORF documents its media services, its values, and its benefits.
Conceived in a close collaboration with the ORF Public Value Competence Center, the report collects reflections and perspectives from external and internal stakeholders—from viewers and fee payers to the staff and politicians.
